Clan Sign Former NHL Defenceman Brady Keeper

June 24, 2025

The Glasgow Clan are pleased to announce the signing of Canadian defenceman Brady Keeper for the 2025/26 season.

The 29-year-old from Cross Lake, Manitoba brings with him a wealth of experience from the highest levels of the game, including time in the NHL and AHL, and now makes his return to the professional game by joining the Clan.

Keeper’s career includes stints with the Florida Panthers (2019–2021), Vancouver Canucks (2021/22) and Montreal Canadiens (2023/24), having signed as a free agent with each organisation. During his time with Florida, he made three NHL appearances, including one playoff game, showcasing his readiness for the top tier.

In addition to his NHL tenure, Keeper has featured across multiple seasons in the AHL, suiting up for the Springfield Thunderbirds, Syracuse Crunch, Abbotsford Canucks, and Laval Rocket.

Now, he’s set to bring his no-nonsense, physical style to Braehead Arena.

Head Coach Corey Neilson shared his thoughts on the new signing:

“Brady is a rugged defensive defenceman who skates well and is highly competitive. He enjoys confrontation, blocking shots and winning. He’s had some unlucky seasons of late with injuries and is excited to get back to playing at a high level.”

Keeper is equally excited to get started in Glasgow and play in front of the Purple Army:

“Happy to be getting the opportunity to play and I can’t wait to get the games going. Super excited to see the rink packed and loud.”

Known for his fearless approach, shot-blocking, and willingness to engage physically, Keeper adds a strong defensive edge to the Clan’s blue line as the team continues to build a competitive roster for the 2025/26 campaign.

Welcome to Glasgow, Brady!
