Clan Signs Forward Jake Elmer for 2025/26
The Glasgow Clan is pleased to announce the signing of Canadian forward Jake Elmer for the upcoming 2025/26 Elite Ice Hockey League season.
The 26-year-old joins the Clan following two impressive seasons with the Dundee Stars, where he quickly became a standout player in the Scottish rivalry. Standing at 6’1″, Elmer brings size, speed, and skill to the forward group, making him a dynamic addition to the roster.
Elmer also brings a wealth of experience from the ECHL, having played for the Jacksonville Icemen and Greenville Swamp Rabbits, where he developed a reputation for his explosive pace, strong puck control, and offensive threat. His ability to create scoring chances and drive play makes him a player to watch in the upcoming campaign.
Speaking about his newest signing, Head Coach Corey Neilson said:
Jake has an amazing blend of breakaway speed and puck skills. When he’s on the ice, he controls the game with a high offensive IQ. He’s well known by a couple of our current players who believe he’ll fit seamlessly into our dressing room. He really did a ton of scoring damage against us last season, and I’m happy he’s playing for the good guys now.
Elmer also shared his excitement about joining the Clan and playing in front of the Purple Army:
I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to join this organisation. I want to work every day to become the best player I can be and help the Clan win as many games as possible.
We’ve got a talented group that’s committed to hard work across all areas of the ice, keeping pucks out of our net and putting as many as we can in our opponents’. I just want to be a part of that.
I can’t wait to get into town, meet the team, the fans, and get the season going!
Welcome to the Clan, Jake.
