Internal Social Media Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this Social Media Policy is to provide guidelines and expectations for the use of social media by all members, players, staff, and volunteers associated with the Glasgow Clan Ice Hockey Club. Treat others with respect, kindness, and dignity, regardless of differences in opinions, backgrounds, or affiliations.

Avoid posting or sharing content that is offensive, discriminatory, or inflammatory.

  • Ensure that information shared on social media platforms is accurate and reliable.
  • Avoid spreading rumours, false information, or misleading content.

5.  Endorsements and Sponsorships

  • Clearly disclose any endorsements, sponsorships, or partnerships with brands or organisations in accordance with relevant advertising regulations.
  • Refrain from endorsing products or services that may conflict with the interests or values of the Glasgow Clan Ice Hockey Club.

6. Intellectual Property

Consequences of Violations

Violations of this Social Media Policy may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to verbal warnings, written warnings, suspension, or termination, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation. The Glasgow Clan Ice Hockey Club reserves the right to monitor and review social media activity related to the club and take appropriate action as necessary.

By participating in social media activities associated with the Glasgow Clan Ice Hockey Club, all members, players, staff, and volunteers agree to comply with this Social Media Policy and acknowledge that failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.
