THE NUMBERS GAME: Clan vs Cardiff Devils – Wednesday

The Elite League campaign has been temporarily shelved as Glasgow Clan, sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West, return to Challenge Cup mode this midweek.

We’re into the knockout stages now and Cardiff Devils will be here for the first leg of this quarter final tie and we have some interesting numbers to bring you.

Matt Haywood #11 scored a late overtime winner for the Clan against Cardiff Devils the last time these two teams met at the quarter final stage in 2018.  A shorthanded winner on 62:49 sent the Clan through at Ice Arena Wales.  Clan’s coach that season? It was current Cardiff incumbent Pete Russell.
