CLAN ADD FORMER GRAND SLAM WINNER BRETT NEUMANN TO FORWARD GROUP
The Glasgow Clan are excited to announce the signing of Canadian forward Brett Neumann for the 2025/26 season.
The 26-year-old is no stranger to the Elite League, having spent two standout seasons with the Sheffield Steelers from 2022 to 2024. Most notably, Neumann was a key part of the 2023/24 Grand Slam-winning Steelers side, contributing speed, skill and versatility to one of the most dominant teams in EIHL history.
Following his success in the UK, Neumann spent the 2024/25 campaign with HC Sierre in the Swiss League, gaining further European experience before opting to return to the Elite League — this time in Purple.
Speaking on his return to UK hockey, Neumann shared his excitement to get started in Glasgow:
Playing in the Elite League for two seasons was some of the most enjoyable hockey of my career. After speaking with Corey, it was an easy decision to return to the Elite League, join the Purple Army and make some more great memories. Excited to see you all soon.
Head Coach Corey Neilson believes Neumann will be a perfect fit for what the Clan are building heading into the 2025/26 season:
Brett is a player who can fill a ton of holes for the club. He’s lightning fast, plays both special teams, creates offense from multiple forward positions and is really a great person. I thought his energy and enthusiasm was great in Sheffield. He’s also a proven winner who knows the league and what it takes to win nightly. I believe his game will fit in well to what we’re trying to build here.
Known for his explosive speed, relentless work rate and offensive instincts, Neumann can play across the forward lines and is a reliable option in all situations. With championship pedigree and EIHL experience already under his belt, he brings both talent and a winning mentality to Braehead Arena.
Welcome to Glasgow, Brett!
