NEWS: Sol return sold by positivity

Aspray Glasgow West sponsored Glasgow Clan defenceman Cody Sol says he was sold on a return to the club by positivity after a summer of change.

Sol is back for a second spell following a season in Italy with Fassa and is set to renew the mutual love affair he had with the Purple Army.

And his return has been so far, so good as the first fixtures of the season begin to loom into view.

“It was good to see all the guys coming in over the last week or so and it’s nice to put faces to the names,” he told Aaron Murphy on Clan Chat.

“So far, we’re looking like a nice tight knit group and we’re all looking forward to a great season ahead.

“For me, it’s nice to be back and there’s been some changes while I was away for a year, but it’s an awesome city and I’m glad to be here again.

“My mom couldn’t make it over here the last time due to illness and there was still Covid around so it was difficult in my first year here.

“The people here do a lot of good work and it’s a very positive mindset.  I want the team to be successful and I want to be part of that.

“There’s a buzz about the group after a tough year, but the positivity is there from the fans through social media and I’m excited to be here.”
