At last Saturday’s EIHL home game against the Dundee Stars, Canadian Ash Goldie became the ninth player to be inducted onto the Warrior Wall of Fame.

Goldie who iced for the Clan between 2012 and 2014, joined the likes of Bruce Richardson, Jade Galbraith, Drew Miller, Ed McGrane, Kyle Jones, Stefan Meyer, Jamie Fritsch & Matt Keith on the wall.

The 38-year-old beat off competition from forward Jordan Krestanovich and defenceman Chris Frank to be this season’s inductee.

During his time in Glasgow, Goldie played in almost 100 games, scoring 58 goals and assisting on 74 others and was a member of the team that qualified for the EIHL playoff finals weekend in 2014.

A delighted Ash Goldie said he was honoured to see his banner up on the Wall of Fame: “From the moment Gareth reached out to me to say I’d been selected by the Purple Army to be this season’s Wall of Fame inductee, it was an absolute honour for myself and my family.

“I loved my two season’s at this fantastic organisation, I loved the city, I loved playing in front of the Purple Army. The Clan will always have a big place in my heart and it’s one of the best places I ever played during my career – thank you to everyone who voted for me!”
