NEWS: Dixon arrives in time to meet fans
The Glasgow Clan, sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West, saw their 20th player arrive early on Sunday, with Stephen Dixon touching down in Glasgow.
The experienced player jetted into Glasgow from Halifax, Nova Scotia and should be at Braehead Arena for the Player Launch/Jersey Reveal event taking place later on Sunday.
And Dixon, who previously played for Cardiff Devils, is pleased to return to the UK and is looking forward to life with his new team.
“It’s great to be in Scotland to start the next phase of my career with Glasgow Clan,” he said. “I’ve loved my time in the UK so far so it’s exciting to return with a new team and new surroundings.
“I’ve seen a lot of the guys are already there and getting settled in so I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to know the group.
“It promises to be an exciting season ahead and I can’t wait to hear the Purple Army cheering me on for a change.”
Dixon linked up with the team already arrived along with Jordan Buesa and Craig Peacock to more or less complete the line-up for the new season.
However, due to family reasons Steven McParland is yet to arrive, with the Canadian due to fly into Scotland in the next couple of days.
