NEWS: Clan Christmas Foodbank Appeal THIS SATURDAY
With Christmas just over a week away, we have teamed-up with the Glasgow Clan Supporters Club (OSC) to organise a Christmas foodbank collection for THIS SATURDAY’s home game vs the Sheffield Steelers (7:00pm face-off).
In support of Renfrewshire Foodbank, we are inviting the Purple Army to bring donations of food along with them to the game.
Renfrewshire Foodbank is currently putting together emergency food parcels and particularly need supplies of small bottles of diluting juice, long life milk, biscuits, coffee, tea, tinned rice, custard and fruit along with cleaning items such as bleach, washing up liquid and cleaning spray.
They also need donations of shampoo, conditioner, sanitary products, deodorant, shower gel, shaving gel, razors and toilet paper.
The Clan will set up a collection point for fans to make their foodbank donations outside the entrance to the Braehead Ice Centre, next to Costa Coffee in the lower mall, between 5:00pm and 7:00pm when the game starts.
The foodbank appeal follows a recent appeal by the Clan for donations of toys for youngsters from struggling families, so they don’t miss out on gifts at Christmas.
