NEWS: 2023/24 Club Events & Game Day Theme Nights
With the start of the 2023/24 season now just over a month away, the Glasgow Clan sponsored by , are delighted to reveal our events & theme night schedule for the new campaign.
Events always generate a lot of interest, engagement, not to mention, fun as we tick down to the start of the new campaign.
So here is what the Purple Army can look forward to and when:
Thu 21st Sep 2023 (7:00pm) – CLAN HIGHLAND ICE GAMES & JERSEY LAUNCH
We start the 2023/24 season with an exciting new event as ‘Clan Stevenson’ go into battle against ‘Clan Haden’. Fans will get to see the new look-team as well as Coach Morgan & Coach Battah.
Clan players will compete against each other on the ice in a series of Highland Game-inspired activities, culminating in a 3-on-3 competition.
It promises to be a great night as fans will see the 2023/24 EIHL jerseys for the first time with stock of authentic and replica jerseys available to buy on the night.
Tue 26th Sep 2023 (7:30pm) – OWN & LOAN HANDOVER NIGHT
If you’ve purchased one of our 2023/24 Own & Loan packages, this is the first of the two events where Own & Loaners get to meet your player, present your jersey to a player and have your photograph taken.
Tue 17th Oct 2023 (10:00am) – OPEN TRAINING SESSION
If you’ve ever been interested in seeing a Clan training sessions, now is your chance. We’ll be opening the doors at Braehead Arena for ALL Clan fans to come down and see coach Morgan take the guys through on ice training ahead of our big game vs Sheffield.
Wed 18th Oct 2023 vs Sheffield Steelers (7:30pm) – KIDS TAKEOVER
With school out for half term, 5 to 16-year-old Clan fans will be taking over game night helping with selling raffle tickets, selling merchandise, announcing, assisting in the penalty box and so much more.
It’s also a Kids for a Quid night with ALL 16-years-old and under tickets priced at £1.
The Clan will also be wearing a special edition Kids Takeover jersey, which will be selected via a competition open to 5 to 16-year-old Clan fans with them being available via a FULL TEAM Shirt off the Back draw.
Sat 28th Oct 2023 vs Guildford Flames (7:00pm) – HOCKEY HALLOWEEN
On the ice we’ll be focusing on a ‘frighteningly’ good performance vs the Flames. Off the ice we’re celebrating All Hallows Eve with a best dressed Halloween costume competition, Spooky Spot Prizes and plenty of ‘thriller’ music
The Clan wearing limited edition Hockey Halloween game jerseys and warm-up jerseys. The game jerseys will be auctioned off & the warm-up jerseys will be raffled off via a FULL Shirt off the Back draw.
Sat 11th Nov 2023 vs Fife Flyers (7:00pm) – REMEMBRANCE NIGHT
To mark Remembrance Sunday we’re teaming-up with a local charity to raise money for supporting our brave veterans.
The Clan will be wearing limited edition Remembrance Night game jerseys and warm-up jerseys. The game jerseys will be auctioned off & the warm-up jerseys will be raffled off via a FULL Shirt off the Back draw.
Sun 26th Nov 2023 vs Manchester Storm (5:00pm) – ST ANDREWS NIGHT
We’re celebrating everything that’s makes us proud about our beautiful country including Scottish themed food in the foyer, Scottish themed music and even a best kilt competition during the first interval.
The Clan will be wearing limited edition St Andrews Night game jerseys and warm-up jerseys. The game jerseys will be auctioned off & the warm-up jerseys will be raffled off via a FULL Shirt off the Back draw.
Sat 23rd Dec 2023 vs Dundee Stars (7:00pm) – CHRISTMAS CRACKER
With the visit of Santa only a matter of days away, we’re starting off the festive period with a bang with our traditional Christmas Cracker game. There will be a worst Christmas jumper competition during the 2nd interval, lots of festive giveaway and maybe even a visit from Father Clanmas himself.
The Clan will be wearing limited edition Christmas game jerseys and warm-up jerseys. The game jerseys will be auctioned off & the warm-up jerseys will be raffled off via a FULL Shirt off the Back draw.
Sat 27th Jan 2024 vs Manchester Storm (7:00pm) – EIHL PRIDE NIGHT
We’re celebrating Pride by teaming-up with a LGBTIQA+ local charity to raise money for a cause that is very much is the club’s ethos.
The Clan will be wearing limited edition Pride game jerseys and warm-up jerseys. The game jerseys will be auctioned off & the warm-up jerseys will be raffled off via a FULL Shirt off the Back draw.
Fri 16th Feb 2024 vs Coventry Blaze (7:30pm) – PINK IN THE RINK
Love is in the air with cupid making a visit to Braehead Arena. Off the ice we’re celebrating Valentines with a couples competition during the 2nd interval, Valentines spot prizes and plenty of ‘love is in the air’ music.
The Clan will be wearing a limited edition Valentines game jerseys and warm-up jerseys. The game jerseys will be auctioned off & the warm-up jerseys will be raffled off via a FULL Shirt off the Back draw.
Sun 10th Mar 2024 vs Cardiff Devils (5:00pm) – RAVE IN THE RINK
We’re teaming-up with some good friends of ours to celebrate those days of bouncing tracks and glowsticks. They’ll be a best dressed raver competition during the 2nd interval, Rave in the Rink spot prizes and plenty of your favourite ‘tunes’ from GBX to Bits n Pieces.
The Clan will be wearing limited edition Rave in the Rink game jerseys and warm-up jerseys. The game jerseys will be auctioned off & the warm-up jerseys will be raffled off via a FULL Shirt off the Back draw.
Fri 22nd Mar 2024 vs Dundee Stars (7:30pm) – EIHL RETRO NIGHT
After the success of Retro Night last season, it returns for a second season when the Dundee Stars come to Braehead. We will be returning as the Braehead Clan for another night of nostalgic throwback. We may even see a few names from the past make a return for one night only!
The Clan will be wearing limited edition Braehead Clan game jerseys and warm-up jerseys. The game jerseys will be auctioned off & the warm-up jerseys will be raffled off via a FULL Shirt off the Back draw.
Sat 7th Apr 2024 vs Cardiff Devils (7:00pm) – ROCK IN THE RINK
We’re teaming-up with some good friends of ours to rock the rink for our last regular season game. There will be a best dressed rocker competition during the 2nd interval, Rock in the Rink spot prizes and plenty of your favourite ‘bangers’ from Aerosmith to Queen.
The Clan will be wearing limited edition Rock in the Rink game jerseys and warm-up jerseys. The game jerseys will be auctioned off & the warm-up jerseys will be raffled off via a FULL Shirt off the Back draw.
Wed 3rd Apr 2024 (7:30pm): GLASGOW CLAN AWARDS (GCA’s)
As we come to the end of the 2023/24 season, we’re looking back on what will be the thirteenth season of Clan hockey while also giving out our annual awards including MVP, Forward of the Season, Defenceman of the Season, Coach’s Player of the Season, Players Player of the Season and Unsung Hero.Unlike previous years, this season’s GCA’s will be held in Braehead Arena with tickets priced at £10 for adults & £5 for 16’s and under.
Wed 10th Apr 2024 (7:30pm): OWN & LOAN HANDBACK NIGHT
If you’ve purchased one of our 2023/24 Own & Loan packages, this is the second of the two events where Own & Loaners get to meet your player, present your jersey to a player and have their photograph taken.
