Robert Lachowicz Returns For Third Season – Takes On Player-Assistant Coach Role

The Glasgow Clan are pleased to confirm that British forward Robert Lachowicz has signed a contract extension that will see him return for a third consecutive season in purple. For the 2025/26 campaign, Lachowicz will formally step into the role of player-assistant coach, having already taken on a more behind-the-scenes leadership role during last season.
Known for his tireless work ethic, composure under pressure and team-first mentality, Lachowicz will once again wear jersey number 7 as he continues to be a key presence on and off the ice.
Head Coach Corey Neilson, who has previously coached and played alongside Lachowicz during their time at the Nottingham Panthers, spoke highly of the move:
Lacho is one of the smartest hockey players I’ve ever known. He’s always been my best penalty killer and can also move up lines to contribute on the attack. Knowing my systems and tactics like the back of his hand he’s the perfect bridge with his player/assistant coach role.
Lachowicz made an instant impact with the Clan when he arrived ahead of the 2023/24 season and has remained a consistent and reliable contributor in both offensive and defensive situations. His versatility and hockey IQ make him an invaluable asset across all areas of the ice.
In addition to his impressive domestic career, Lachowicz has also represented Great Britain on the international stage, playing a key role in the national team’s rise through the IIHF ranks and appearances in top-tier World Championship competition. His international experience adds another layer of insight and professionalism to the Clan’s dressing room.
With over 900 professional games to his name and multiple playoff and cup titles under his belt, Lachowicz adds vital experience to the Clan’s leadership group as the team continues to build toward the new season.
Welcome back, Lacho.
