Clan managed a victory over their would-be playoff conquerors that season by a two-goal margin at 5-3.

Goals from Rasmus Bjerrum, Vaclav Stupka, Matt Beca and a double for Guillaume Doucet canceling out the Flames goals from Ian Watters, Kruise Reddick and Brett Ferguson.
