NEWS: Harrison dreaming of noisy debut

Aspray Glasgow West sponsored Glasgow Clan forward Ryan Harrison is hoping to get a better night’s sleep ahead of his home debut on Friday.
The Clan, under Jason Morgan, will play in front of the Braehead Arena crowd when Belfast Giants visit for the first of a weekend double header against Adam Keefe’s side (face off 7:30pm).
And Harrison admitted the excitement of his first game for the club last Saturday at Cardiff Devils meant a bit of a sleepless night for him.
“It’s exciting and I’m hoping to get a better night’s sleep on Thursday than I did last week before the first game in Cardiff,” he said.

“Once I get a few shifts and I hear the crowd, the legs might be a bit shaky, but I’m really looking forward to getting on home ice.
“I can’t wait for Friday and I’ve heard a lot of good things, especially after the fan event earlier this week and hearing them say there’s plenty of chants. Hopefully I can do some good things and get some noise going.”
Harrison, who joined from Kansas City in the ECHL, also reflected on that weekend in Wales, where Clan suffered defeat in both games – a 4-2 loss on Saturday followed by a 6-2 final a day later.
But he insists learning from those games was the most important thing for the players.
He added: “The vibe has been great throughout the team over the last couple of weeks. The first day or two was all about getting to know each other and things like that.
“But Morgy worked us hard then we went to Cardiff at the weekend, we got to know each other better as we travelled. I was rooming with Gary Haden so we talked for a bit.
“It was tough to lose the two games in Cardiff last week and no-one wants to be defeated, but for these games, it’s about what you learn.
“It’s also about testing things out, see where we are and find out where we can improve. We watched video after those games and looked at where we can do things better.
“Hopefully we can take that into the weekend games against the Giants.”
