Glasgow Clan saw their hopes of taking a big road win at Belfast Giants dashed as they ended up on the losing side of a nine-goal thriller.
In their final road trip of 2018, Glasgow were keen to end they travelled to Belfast to take on league leaders Giants, in the second of their three home game weekend.
But it was the perfect start for the visitors when Craig Peacock opened the scoring for his former team after eight minutes, as the Clan sent something of a statement of intent.
They were able to continue that very early into the second period when Travis Ehrhardt got the assist on a Gerard Hanson finish to double the lead.
Matt Stanisz added a third at the midway point with an unassisted goal as the trip looked to go as well as it possibly could.

However the Giants are top of the table for a reason and they hit back with two strikes of their own – both on powerplays – to cut the lead to one by the second break.
David Rutherford and Dustin Johner were the men to score those goals as it set up an interesting third period.
Giants turned a losing position into a winning one as Rutherford got his second to tie the game at three.
They moved ahead 33 seconds later with their only even strength goal of the night, with Johner bagging his second.
From there, they kicked on and Darcy Murphy got what proved to be the game winning goal in the final four minutes.
And although Michal Gutwald pulled one back in the last minute, it wasn’t enough as Adam Keefe’s men took the points.
