GAME REPORT: GLAGSOW CLAN 3 HERLEV EAGLES 3

The Premier Sports sponsored Glasgow Clan welcomed in the 2025-26 season with a 3-3 draw with Danish side, the Herlev Eagles in the opening game at Braehead Arena.
The Clan got off to a quick start as Mitchell Heard and Hugo Roy burst up the left side of the ice and forced an early stop from Emil Zetterquist in the opening 30 seconds.
It didn’t take Herlev long to showcase their shooting prowess as Matthias Asperup and Jeppe Kramer darted exceptional shots on net and put new Clan netminder, Sami Aittokallio to the test.
Herlev eventually broke through with Brock Bremer as he charged up the boards and found an opening before cutting inside and releasing a quick shot which fizzed low into the Clan net.
Aittokallio was the main focus of the remainder of the period, with 11 shots on net from the Eagles all stopped by the Finn and in impressive fashion too with his best effort coming on a double stop on Bremer and Isak Goransson.
In the second period, Glasgow found their opener through Cade Neilson as he leathered a shot from the blue line at the boards and it skipped off the crossbar and in.
Herlev quickly reinstated their lead though as Isak Goransson broke through the Clan zone and hesitated between passing and shooting before firing the Eagles back in front with a low-drilled smash.
Felix ParĂ© got the hosts back level when he tipped Brayden Burke’s long range drive past Zetterquist before Mitchell Heard and Richard Jarůšek got in the grills of Herlev’s defence and drew 4 roughing penalties after the whistle
Chris McKay later gave the Clan their first lead in the game as he strolled into a dogfight with Rylan Schwartz battling for the puck before releasing it to the #55 who slammed it home to make it 3-2 for Glasgow.
After flipping their one-goal deficit to start the second into a one-goal lead by the end of it, Glasgow went into the third period with a flurry of shots on Zetterquist’s net, but nothing could break through the Dane.
The final 20 minutes of the game was littered with quick break chances for both sides and a litany of physical bouts as the temperature turned up on the ice.
Eventually, Gustav Green broke the tension with a game-tying goal as he first-timed a sly pass from Victor Cubars high over Aittokallio.
The final buzzer sounded on a 3-3 game with tied stats across the boards, 17 shots on goal each and eight penalty minutes for each side as they reset for tomorrow’s repeat fixture at Braehead Arena.
