GAME PREVIEW: Clan set for Giants challenge

December 5, 2021

Glasgow Clan vs Belfast Giants

Braehead Arena, Glasgow (face off 4pm)

Ticket details: ClanIHC.com

TV: Live on Premier Sports 1, coverage begins at 3.30pm

Game three of a busy weekend arrives as both sides look to end the week in winning fashion when they meet at Braehead Arena.

They’ll be out to do it in front of the TV cameras when Premier Sports are in the building and with another big crowd expected, this Sunday afternoon affair could have all the trimmings.

When Belfast hosted Clan in their first game of the season four weeks ago, Glasgow’s valiant performance was denied victory by a late, late Lewis Hook goal.

Weeks later, Adam Keefe’s men will see a different beast and perhaps use Clan’s busy weekend to exploit them in the hunt for two big Premier Sports Elite League points.

After Giants’ win in Fife last night and Clan’s [] in Coventry, it’s another big game in a league full of them this season and like many, will be hard to call.

Both coaches will have their players fired up so a tasty contest is in prospect. Who will be celebrating afterwards is another question altogether.

PLAYER TO WATCH

#34 Tyler Beskorowany

The return of Belfast’s championship winning goalie from the 2018-19 season was an announcement that delighted the Giants faithful as they began to prepare for this season.

His form in that campaign played a massive part of their success and after impressing in a short spell with Edinburgh Capitals previously, he soon became a firm favourite.

This season, the Giants maybe haven’t quite found their stride, but that takes nothing away from the talent they have in their ranks including that of their netminder.

After facing CJ Motte in Coventry on Saturday, facing Beskorowany won’t be any easier and if he has the kind of night he’s more than capable of, Clan will need to work hard to get the better of him.
