Fabian Dahlem Joins The Clan Coaching Team

The Glasgow Clan are pleased to welcome Fabian Dahlem to the coaching staff for the 2025/26 season, where he will serve as Goaltender Coach and Team Consultant.
Dahlem joins an experienced coaching group alongside Head Coach Corey Neilson, Assistant Coach Mike Sirant, and Player Assistant Coach Robert Lachowicz, bringing a wealth of European experience to the Purple Army bench.
A well-respected figure in German hockey, Dahlem has spent the past 20 years in and around the DEL and DEL2, including notable stints with ERC Ingolstadt, Kassel Huskies, and most recently the Bietigheim Steelers, where he’s been part of the coaching setup since 2020.
His deep understanding of the game, particularly in goaltending development and team strategy, adds another layer of expertise to the Clan’s backroom team as preparations ramp up for the 2025/26 campaign.
Speaking about his new role in Glasgow, Dahlem said:
I am incredibly proud to join the Glasgow Clan as Goalie Coach and Team Consultant. Supporting this team and being part of its coaching staff is both an honor and a responsibility I embrace with full commitment. I look forward to contributing my experience to help the Clan achieve its highest potential.
Scottish values like resilience, pride, and loyalty deeply resonate with me – they align perfectly with the way I coach and live the game. Together, we aim to build something strong, lasting, and successful.
Head Coach Corey Neilson added:
Goaltending itself is a tricky position to get right, but Fabian brings a lot to the table. He’s worked with Sami before in the DEL, so there’s already a solid connection there. Just like here in Glasgow, the DEL always has young, talented goalies coming through who need the right coaching to develop. He ticks a lot of boxes for us, and with his experience as an assistant coach, he’ll also give us another set of eyes on the game. Alongside his work with the goalies, he’ll be on board as a coaching consultant too.
With Dahlem now officially on board, the Clan coaching team continues to grow stronger as they look to shape a competitive and resilient roster for the 2025/26 season.
Welcome to Glasgow, Fabian!
