CZECH FORWARD RICHARD JARŮŠEK JOINS THE CLAN

The Glasgow Clan are pleased to announce the addition of experienced Czech forward Richard Jarůšek for the 2025/26 season.
The 33-year-old makes the move to Scotland from Rytíři Kladno of the Czech Tipsport Extraliga, where he has spent the majority of his career competing at the top level of Czech hockey. Jarůšek has also represented the Czech national team, including appearances at the 2016 IIHF World Championships, and has built a reputation as a powerful winger with a keen eye for goal and a physical edge to his game.
Head Coach Corey Neilson believes Jarůšek will be a strong addition to the Clan’s offensive unit:
“Richard is a big body who finishes his checks and goes to the dirty areas to score on the ice. After playing many years in the Czech Extraliga he brings a wealth of experience and is used to playing very competitive hockey at a high level. Captain Sid highly recommended him and I’m very happy to add the size and skill to our forward group.”
Jarůšek becomes the 19th player confirmed for the 2025/26 season and will wear jersey #96 as he begins his first year in the Elite League.
Speaking on his move to Glasgow, Jarůšek shared:
“I’m really looking forward to this new chapter with the Glasgow Clan. Playing in Scotland will be a special experience, and I’ve heard amazing things about the Purple Army — I can’t wait to feel that energy from the ice.”
Standing at 6’2”, Jarůšek brings a blend of size, scoring touch and veteran leadership to the Clan lineup. With a wealth of top-flight European experience, he adds depth and grit to a Glasgow side determined to make a mark in the upcoming season.
Welcome to Glasgow, Richard!
