NEXT HOME GAME: Braehead Clan are back on home ice THIS SATURDAY (face-off 7:00pm) when they take on Dundee Stars in a League and Gardiner Conference game. Tickets are available NOW via TICKETMASTER, by calling 0844 499 1700 or direct at the Braehead Arena box office.
Braehead Clan defenceman Kyle Wharton has been named this week’s Elite League Player of the Week.
Wharton played a key role in the Clan’s two victories over Fife at the weekend collecting three goals and two assists.
He said: “We had a good weekend and we are finally able to string together a couple of wins, overall the team played a lot better and I think we were supporting each other on the ice and we were giving ourselves more chances to score goals.
“Sometimes you get lucky and they go in. It was nice to get a couple of goals, it has been a little bit frustrating to start the year, but sometimes they go in, in bunches so hopefully it continues.”
