CLAN SIGN AMERICAN FORWARD CHRIS DODERO
Glasgow Clan are pleased to announce the signing of American forward Chris Dodero, who joins the club from ECHL side Wheeling Nailers.
The Chicago native arrives in Glasgow with experience in both North American and European hockey, having spent the last three seasons competing in the ECHL.
Dodero has represented several clubs during his professional career, including the Tahoe Knight Monsters, Cincinnati Cyclones and Idaho Steelheads, gaining valuable experience across one of North America’s leading professional hockey leagues.
During the 2025/26 season with the Idaho Steelheads, Dodero made 52 appearances, recording six goals and 21 assists for a total of 27 points.
Director of Hockey Operations Zach Vinnell believes Dodero will bring energy, skill and leadership to the Clan roster.
Chris is a competitive, high-energy forward who plays with pace and has a ton of skill. He comes with great European and North American experience.
He’s the type of player who can bring swagger and leadership to a group and help establish the standard we want to play with every night.
Having previously played in Europe, Dodero is looking forward to returning to the bigger ice surface and getting started with his new teammates in Glasgow.
I’m really excited to join the Glasgow Clan! Having played in Europe before, I’m looking forward to getting back on the bigger ice.
I love the arena here, and everyone has been extremely welcoming, from the organisation and teammates to people around the city!
Dodero joins the Clan for the remainder of the 2026/27 Motorpoint Elite League season as the club looks to strengthen its forward options. He will wear the #55 jersey, with his availability for this weekend’s fixtures subject to visa clearance.
Everyone at Glasgow Clan looks forward to seeing Chris in purple.
