NEWS: Dixon hangs up his skates

Former Glasgow Clan player/interim coach Stephen Dixon has announced his decision to retire.
The 37-year-old joined the club last year from Cardiff Devils and played a huge part in what turned out to be his final campaign as a player.
He stepped up to take over coaching duties in October following the departure of Malcom Cameron, where he worked in tandem with Dyson Stevenson, helping the team reach the play-offs.
In total, he played 55 times for the Clan, scoring six times and making 19 assists for 25 points during 2022/23.
Clan Managing Director Gareth Chalmers paid tribute to Dixon for his contribution to the team last season.
“I want to say thank you to Dicko for what he did for the team last year, both on the ice and off it, stepping up to take the team along with Dyson in difficult circumstances,” he said.
“The rest of the team responded positively to that and it showed as they battled all the way to take the play-off spot when it seemed at one stage to be beyond us.
“As a person, Stephen was a great guy to work with and his professionalism shone through in everything he did.
“On behalf of the Clan, I want to wish him all the best for the future in his retirement in whatever he does in this next stage of his life.”
