NEWS: OSC look after Clan players

January 2, 2022

Players of the Glasgow Clan, sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West, were surprised when they received care packages from members of the Glasgow Clan Supporters Club (OSC).

With many isolating due to Covid protocol, the kind hearted committee of the OSC got together to help the guys out as they prepare to get back on the ice as soon as possible.

And they delivered – literally – when care package arrived at the doors of each player to help them through the next few days when they can come out of isolation and return to training.

Clan OSC chairman Roddie Brown thanked the members for their help and assistance and explained how it happened.

“When we heard the guys would be isolating, we wanted to make sure they were looked after with them so far from home, particularly at this time of year,” he said.

“The committee got together and we decided to get the basic food and supplies they need to see them through until they can come out of their isolation.

“We’re more than happy to help them out and on behalf of the OSC, I want to thank the members for not only buying the items for the players, but delivering them to them as well.

“Again, it’s been another great team effort from everyone involved and we can’t wait to see the guys back in action soon,”

Clan’s Managing Director, Gareth Chalmers, added: “Once again, our supporters have gone above and beyond and this shows why we have the best fans in the league.

“Coming together to help the players through this difficult time shows the essence of what the OSC is all about and I know the players and staff are extremely grateful for their assistance.

“Roddie and his team have done a brilliant job so on behalf of the club, I want to thank them for their efforts in putting everything together and delivering the goods. It’s very much appreciated.”
