NEWS: McKenzie keen to cross playoff line

Glasgow’s Braehead Clan forward Bari McKenzie has been unlucky in previous play-off quarter finals, now he’s desperate to the reach the finals.
McKenzie comes up against old team, Dundee Stars as Clan get ready to scrap it out for a place in next week’s final four showdown in Nottingham.
The 30-year-old revealed this weekend’s two-legged affair; with Clan hosting the second leg on Sunday (6:00pm) is a little special for him because it’s against a team with whom he served with distinction for two years.
“It’s a great game for me because I played in Dundee for two years and ideally, I would love to see both of us make to the finals in Nottingham,” McKenzie said.
“Obviously, that can’t happen. I had great memories there in general, but in my first year, we fell short as Fife had beaten us in the quarter final.
“Sadly, in my career I’ve always fell short, but speaking to guys that have played in it tell me it’s fantastic and I used to go when it was in Manchester before it moved to Nottingham.
“For any British player growing up and coming through, we watched on television and that’s what you want to achieve.
“Last year was really tough, losing the quarter final to Fife and we lost two late goals in the away leg which swung the tie.
“But the guys that were here last year know how hard that was to take and we have to make sure that doesn’t happen again.
“It’s a great occasion, but we can’t look too far ahead. We’ve got two big games to play to get us there first and that’s the main focus.”
