Following discussions last week between the Braehead Clan, Milton Keynes Lightning and Jordan Cownie, we have agreed to release the player from his two year contract.

The 20-year-old British forward joined the Clan last summer, however following limited ice time a loan agreement was reached in September to see him return to Milton Keynes for the remainder of the 2015/16 season.

Clan Hockey & Operations Director Gareth Chalmers commented: “Following discussions this past week with Jordan and Pete Russell [Milton Keynes Lightning Head Coach], in the best interests of all parties we have agreed to release Jordan from his two year contract with the club.

“We would like to wish Jordan all the best with the Milton Keynes Lightning and will continue to follow his career with interest.”
