What’s On at Braehead Arena This December
December is shaping up to be one of the busiest – and most exciting – months of the season at Braehead Arena. With six home games, two charity collections, festive celebrations and key fixtures across the Elite Ice Hockey League and Challenge Cup, there’s plenty for the Purple Army to look forward to.
🧸 5 Dec vs The Nottingham Panthers – Toy Bank donations
🥫 12 Dec vs The Cardiff Devils – FERN Foodbank collection
🏆 17 Dec vs The Nottingham Panthers – Challenge Cup elimination game
🎅 19 Dec vs Fife Flyers – Christmas game + special edition jerseys
🥊 26 Dec vs Dundee Stars – Boxing Day battle (FO 5pm)
⚔️ 31 Dec vs Belfast Giants – New Year’s Eve clash (FO 2pm)
The month begins on Friday 5 December as the Clan welcome the Nottingham Panthers to Glasgow. In the spirit of giving, we’re inviting fans to support the Renfrewshire Toy Bank by donating new, unwrapped toys at the door to help local children this Christmas. The following week, Friday 12 December, we take on the Cardiff Devils, where we’ll be collecting donations for FERN Foodbank (Feed East Renfrewshire Now) to support families in need during the festive period.
The action continues on Wednesday 17 December, when the Clan face the Panthers once again — this time in the first Challenge Cup elimination game to be played at Braehead Arena in the 2025/26 campaign. On Friday 19 December, we host our annual Christmas game against the Fife Flyers, featuring a full team Shirt Off the Back, a post-game auction, and plenty of festive fun throughout the night.
We round off the month with two huge games: a Boxing Day clash against the Dundee Stars on Friday 26 December (5:00pm face-off), followed by a New Year’s Eve showdown with the Belfast Giants on Wednesday 31 December (2:00pm face-off). It’s the perfect way to end your year.
Fans can also make the most of the festive season by visiting the Braehead Ice Centre before the game. Season ticket holders receive £2 off public skating sessions, and under 5s skate free, making it the perfect pre-game activity for families.
December at Braehead Arena is packed — make sure you’re part of it.
