WEEKLY RECAP: CLAN LOOK TO BOUNCE BACK AFTER A TOUGH WEEKEND ON THE ICE
It was a challenging but hard-working weekend for the Glasgow Clan as the team faced back-to-back fixtures against the Nottingham Panthers and Belfast Giants, returning home with lessons learned and focus firmly on the big week ahead.
FRIDAY 28 NOV – NOTTINGHAM PANTHERS (A) | 7–1 LOSS
The Clan made their first trip of the season to the Motorpoint Arena to take on Danny Stewart’s Nottingham Panthers.
Brett Neumann opened the scoring in the first period with a composed finish, but despite a strong start, Nottingham seized control as the game wore on.
Goaltender Sami Aittokallio, who started the game, was replaced by Lucas Brine for the second and third periods due to illness. The Panthers capitalised, and the Clan ultimately fell to a 7–1 defeat.
SATURDAY 29 NOV – BELFAST GIANTS (H) | SO LOSS, 4–3 (1 POINT)
The Clan returned home to Braehead Arena for a tightly contested battle against the Belfast Giants. Goals from Rylan Schwartz, Darien Kielb and Colton Poolman kept the game neck-and-neck throughout regulation.
With nothing to separate the sides after overtime, the game went to a shootout. Deven Sideroff was the only Clan player to find the net, and Belfast claimed the extra point.
Despite the narrow loss, the Clan took a valuable point from the evening, though the result saw them slip from 4th to 6th in the league standings.
WEEK AHEAD
FRIDAY 5 DEC – NOTTINGHAM PANTHERS (H)
The Panthers come to Braehead Arena for the second of three December matchups, and the first on home ice. After a tetchy weekend on the road, the Clan are determined to respond with a strong performance in front of the Purple Army.
This fixture is also our annual Toy Drive Game, supporting the Renfrewshire Toy Bank. Fans are encouraged to bring along a toy donation and drop it at the collection points outside the arena.
Tickets are extremely limited, with fewer than 120 remaining.
SUNDAY 7 DEC – CARDIFF DEVILS (A)
After a Saturday break, the Clan head south to the Vindico Arena to face the Cardiff Devils. The Clan go into this one looking to maintain their 100% win record against the Devils so far in the 2025/26 season.
Another exciting weekend awaits as the Clan aim for a strong response and a big push up the table.
