THE WEEK AHEAD: Two more to come
Every game matters and that’s never been as true as it is now, as Glasgow Clan, sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West, look forward to two more big contests this weekend.
After two three-point weekends in a row, Clan are continuing to look up the Elite League standings as they aim to cement a spot in the post-season.
We’ll look at who’s coming up in a moment, but in case you’ve missed anything, here’s a quick recap:
- HIGHLIGHTS: Glasgow Clan 5 Nottingham Panthers 6 (After overtime)

SATURDAY
Glasgow Clan vs Manchester Storm (Elite Ice Hockey League, face off 7:00pm)
It’s the final meeting of the season between these two sides and there hasn’t been much between them whenever they’ve got together.
It looks set to be another edgy, close affair as Manchester Storm come to Braehead Arena looking to pick up another road win against the Clan, a week after Jason Morgan’s side did it to them on their own patch.
Storm have enjoyed a good run of form of late, but will come to Scotland on the back of a Friday night game against Coventry Blaze. Who will come out on top here?
SUNDAY
Cardiff Devils vs Glasgow Clan (Elite Ice Hockey League, face off 5:00pm)
After playing each other four times in December, Clan and Devils meet for the first time in three months as Glasgow make the trip to South Wales to complete the weekend.
Pete Russell’s side are in a strange position where they’ve confirmed their play-off spot, they are far enough behind league leaders Sheffield Steelers that a late title push seems unlikely, while there’s a significant gap between them and Belfast in third.
Not that this will make this game any less competitive when they get together. Points are points after all and either team will want them, irrespective of their own positions and situations.
