THE WEEK AHEAD: Bumper Christmas at the Clan
It’s that time of year when everyone is busy and at Glasgow Clan, sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West, we’re no different which is why The Week Ahead is bumper edition this week.
Because of the festive period, we’ve got more games to look ahead to, and more reasons to get excited for the big games coming up.
We’ll get into those shortly, but in the meantime, let’s look back at what’s been happening recently:
FRIDAY
Cardiff Devils vs Glasgow Clan (Elite Ice Hockey League, face off 7:30pm)
It’s back to Cardiff on league duty just over a week since Clan bundled Pete Russell’s side out of the Challenge Cup and it promises to be a good one.
The Devils will be sick of Scottish teams by now after coming up against Dundee Stars and Fife Flyers at the weekend, and will still be smarting from Sunday’s loss in Kirkcaldy.
It’s going to be another fun night in South Wales as Clan look to get back to winning ways in this one.
SATURDAY
Glasgow Clan vs Dundee Stars (Elite Ice Hockey League, face off 7:00pm)
It’s an all-Scottish affair AND a Christmas cracker rolled into one when Dundee Stars come to Glasgow for the last Saturday night before Christmas.
Results for the Stars haven’t gone their way this month and they would love nothing better than to plunder a couple of points from Glasgow.
These games are usually entertaining so make sure you’re there to see who can claim the points in an all-out contest.
BOXING DAY
Glasgow Clan vs Belfast Giants (Elite Ice Hockey League, face off 5:00pm)
Like The King’s speech and the misery of an episode of Eastenders, Glasgow Clan and Belfast Giants come together for their own little Christmas tradition.
Festive meetings with Adam Keefe’s men usually have a little something extra to them so don’t expect anything less when these two lock horns again.
Clan won the last time they played each other so between that and a very un-Giants-like series of results, it’s going to be a good one in front of a big crowd. Don’t miss it.
