SIGNING NEWS: ‘Mr Clan’ Matt Haywood returns for testimonial season!

Glasgow Clan are delighted to announce that long-serving British forward Matt Haywood will return for the 2019/20 season.
The 28-year-old centreman from Doncaster is the Clan’s longest-serving player, having joined the club during its inception in 2010.
Over his ten year spell at the club, in the EIHL Matt has scored 70 goals and assisted on 113 occasions.
Matt is the current record appearance holder for Clan, with 448 EIHL games – beating the nearest contender Zach Sullivan by 188 games.
The first-ever Clan player to achieve ten years at the club, he is also the Clan’s second-highest point scorer, goal scorer, and assist provider in all competitions.

Head Coach Zack Fitzgerald praised Matt’s dedication to the club:

Matthew is the Clan’s twenty-first and final player signing for 2019/20, following confirmation that Patrick Killeen, Matt Pufahl, Matt Beca, Rasmus Bjerrum, Jack Musil, Craig Peacock, Scott Pitt, Scott Tanski, Craig Moore, Linden Springer, Jordan Heywood, Jordan McLaughlin, Mikael Lidhammar, Nolan LaPorte, Mathieu Roy, Gary Russell, Mac Howlett, Travis Ehrhardt, Chad Rau and Matt Stanisz having already put pen to paper.
