SIGNING: Buesa returns to Clan fold

August 6, 2021

The Glasgow Clan, sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West, are delighted to announce the return of young Scottish forward Jordan Buesa.

The 21-year-old, from Troon, returns to the club after three years away where he played for Fife Flyers for two seasons and spent part of last season in Spain with Madrid based team, S.A.D. Majadahonda.

But it feels like a homecoming of sorts for Buesa, who supported the club as a boy in their early years and initially played under previous coaches Ryan Finnerty and John Tripp.

“It feel great to say I’m a Glasgow Clan player again and I’m pleased to come back to the club I supported as a boy,” Buesa said.

“The last 15-16 months, a lot has changed and my own situation changed so I felt moving closer to home was the right one for me.

“It’s been five years since I first signed for the Clan and I feel I’ve definitely matured as player in that time a d learned a lot from the coaches and high calibre players I’ve been lucky to play with.

“I feel I’m ready to really contribute and I think I’m a more complete player than when I left the club three years ago.

“I hope the fans welcome me back. I can’t wait to see the arena full of noise and people again and I want to help the team win as much as possible this season.”

Buesa played 64 times for the Clan between 2016 and 2018 as a teenager, picking up four assists before leaving for Flyers, where he made 104 appearances, scoring five times and assisting in three.

He represented Great Britain at the World Championships at Under 20 level on three occasions as well, winning a bronze medal and a silver in consecutive tournaments.

Buesa becomes the tenth signing confirmed for the 2021/22 season after Shane Starrett, Colin Campbell, Rodney Southam, Matt Haywood, Jordan McLaughlin, Mathieu Roy, Medric Mercier, Nolan LaPorte and Colton Yellow Horn.

He will wear the #12 jersey for the Clan this season.
