SIGNING: Bryce is right for Clan

July 19, 2023

The Glasgow Clan, sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West, are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian defenceman Bryce Reddick for the 2023/24 season.

The 33-year-old is a familiar face to the Elite League after spending three years with Cardiff Devils between 2017 and 2020.

And he revealed some due diligence persuaded him to return to the UK after hearing some positive things.

“The reason I signed in Glasgow is because I know the league and the city, which was a really nice place to be,” he said.

“Speaking to friends I have still in the league, they were telling me how good Glasgow were going to be and it’s promising for the fan base when other players are saying that.

“Jason and I played together in Arizona so we know each other and it’s exciting to link up with him. I think we’ll have a really good season.”

Reddick spent much of last season in Germany with DEL2 side Selber Wölfe, where he made 31 appearances, scored seven goals and made 14 assists for 21 points.

He worked with Andrew Lord in Cardiff, where he won an Elite League title and two play-off crowns before following his coach to Greenville Swamp Rabbits in the ECHL, where he was also assistant coach for the latter part of his time there.

Reddick made 187 appearances in all EIHL competition with the Devils, finding the net 18 times and made 59 assists, coming up with 77 points from his time in Wales.

Plus his experience of Champions Hockey League and spells in France, Denmark, Norway and North America will be a huge benefit to the Clan.

Head coach Jason Morgan is glad to bring the seasoned D-man to his team and spoke highly of his attributes.

“I’m delighted to welcome Bryce back to the league,” he said. “’Reds’ adds leadership and experience to our back end and has won multiple championships in the UK and wants to bring hardware to Glasgow.

“He has great character and work ethic and he can be used in all situations so we’re pleased to bring him to the club.”

Reddick will wear the #89 jersey and joins a roster that includes Robert Lachowicz, Alex Forbes, Ryan Harrison, Jordan Cownie, Gary Haden, Philippe Sanche, Jordan Buesa, Charlie Combs, Jake Kielly, Dyson Stevenson, Antti Karjalainen and Nate Kallen on the roster for 2023/24.
