SIGNING: #94 Cade Neilson Returns

February 13, 2025

The Glasgow Clan are excited to announce the return of forward Cade Neilson to the roster.

Cade originally joined the Clan at the start of the 2024/25 season, making an immediate impact in his short stint with the team. During his eight appearances—split evenly between the league and the Challenge Cup—Cade tallied 2 goals, 3 assists, and 5 points overall. His offensive abilities and on-ice vision were clear from the get-go, making him a firm favourite in no time.

After departing in October to join the Utah Grizzlies in the ECHL in the United States, Cade continued to develop his game, accumulating 14 points in 43 games. Now, he’s back and ready to make his mark once again in the Clan colours.

Head Coach Corey Neilson was enthusiastic about Cade’s return, stating:

“There was always a strong possibility that Cade would return to Glasgow. He really enjoyed the city, the club, and his team-mates, so when the time came for this decision, it was a no-brainer for me to bring him back. He provides more offensive depth for this group that sometimes struggles to score, so we’re very pleased that he will finish up the season with us.”

Cade’s familiarity with the team and his strong work ethic make him a valuable addition as the Clan continue to push towards securing a play-off spot in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). Fans can look forward to seeing him don #94 once again when he returns to the lineup next week.

Welcome back to Glasgow, Cade! We can’t wait to see you back on the ice at Braehead Arena.
