SIGNED: Solow joins the Clan

The Glasgow Clan, sponsored by , are delighted to announce the signing of American defenceman Jeff Solow.

Solow joins the club from Worcester Railers of the ECHL, and has previously played in NCAA with Merrimack College and SUNY-Oswego.

Clan associate coach Dyson Stevenson spoke of Solow and what he believes he’ll bring to the team.

“Jeff Solow is a heart and soul kind of guy who stays at home in defence and blocks shots.  He can execute some hits and is defensive minded first.

“It’s good to get him in and not really having a defensive defenceman, he’ll be relied upon for that kind of thing.

“While he doesn’t have a lot of experience, he’s played in the ECHL for the last couple of seasons and I’ve had some positive reports about him, particularly regarding his work ethic.

Solow, an American, has been at Worcester Railers for the last couple of months and spent last season with Iowa Heartlanders, where he performed well in his first pro campaign.

Solow will don the #21 jersey and will be able to ice for the Clan once a visa has been issued & international clearance received.
