SIGNED: Cameron returns for second season

April 5, 2022

The Glasgow Clan, sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West, are delighted to announce the return of Head Coach & Head of Hockey Operations Malcolm Cameron for the 2022/23 season.

The 52-year-old Canadian has already signed on the dotted line and is ready to continue the work he has begun this season after the Clan returned to the ice following the enforced Covid absence.

His approach and plans have been well received by the Clan organisation, who were keen to tie him up quickly so preparation for the new season can begin.

Glasgow Clan Managing Director Gareth Chalmers was pleased that those plans can now begin in earnest after quite the campaign on and off the ice.

“Last summer we carried out an extensive search for a new Head Coach and Head of Hockey Operations who could match our ambitions and vision for the club, so I am delighted Malcolm is returning,” confirmed Chalmers.

“After securing the future of our home at Braehead Arena, it’s now imperative for the club that we have continuity in place to allow us to further progress over the coming seasons.

“This season has been a very testing past six months, however the whole organisation has taken it in their stride and we can now start focusing on putting our plans into place for the next decade of the Clan.

“I want to thank the Purple Army and everyone associated with the club for all their fantastic continued support, we’ve got a very exciting next few years coming up.”
