Roster Update Ahead of Valentine’s Fixture at Braehead Arena
The Glasgow Clan can confirm that team captain Deven Sideroff has been placed on the Injured Reserve for the remainder of the 2025/26 season following an upper-body injury sustained during the game against the Nottingham Panthers on 28th January 2026.
Initial tests following the incident were encouraging, however after further specialist examinations and extensive medical consultations, it has unfortunately become clear that Deven’s recovery will take longer than first anticipated.
This news comes as a significant blow to the Clan. Sideroff has been an integral part of the organisation, leading by example both on and off the ice.
With Sideroff placed on Injured Reserve, the Glasgow Clan can also confirm the signing of American forward Mick Messner.
Messner joins the Clan from Slovakian side HC Banská Bystrica. Prior to his time in Slovakia, the 26-year-old spent three seasons with the Utah Grizzlies in the ECHL, where he played 152 games and recorded 79 points.
Messner will arrive in Scotland early this week and is expected to make his Clan debut on Friday 13 February against the Manchester Storm at Braehead Arena. He will wear jersey number 10.
In further positive news, the Glasgow Clan is delighted to announce the return of Finnish goaltender Sami Aittokallio from the Injured Reserve. Aittokallio had been sidelined since early January, and his return provides a timely boost between the pipes. Joining Sami back on the game sheet is defenceman Darien Kielb, who has been out with a lower body injury for the past couple of weeks.
Following an outstanding run of performances, including an EIHL save percentage of 91.8%, goaltender Liam Souliére will remain with the Clan until the conclusion of the season in April.
The Club would like to thank supporters for their continued backing as the team navigates this period and looks ahead to the business end of the season.
