A Zach Vinnell overtime winner secured a big home win for Aspray Glasgow West sponsored Glasgow Clan as they defeated Guildford Flames 3-2 at Braehead Arena.
The Clan had an early chance as Gary Haden broke away with the puck but his shot was blocked by Flames goalie Eamon McAdam.
Darien Craighead and Bryce Reddick also had early chances for the hosts but they couldn’t get it over the line.
Robert Lachowicz struck against his old team as he combined with Craighead and Matt Barry in a slick move before firing the puck into the roof of the net.

Clan’s netminder Jake Kielly put in a fantastic shift in the home net in the first period, making a multitude of saves including some phenomenal stops on a penalty kill late on in the period.
In the second period, Glasgow’s #1 continued his strong performance as he kept the Flames’ attack at bay for another 20 minutes.
At the other end, the Clan generated a number of chances from the likes of Haden and Mike Pelech, but they also couldn’t get a goal in the second period.
The highlight of the period was a huge two-on-one chance for the Clan as Reid Petryk laid off Lachowicz at the backdoor, but his shot went high over the bar.
Kielly continued to impress in net as he strongarmed the Guildford attack at every opportunity while Haden and Craighead created chances at the other end.
Lachowicz picked up a second of the game after a slip behind the Flames’ net from Ben O’Connor gifted Craighead the puck, before he set up the Clan’s #7 for the finish.
The Flames eventually found a way past Kielly through former Clan player, Steven McParland who finished his shot into the corner of the home net.
Then it took 25 seconds later for Guildford to level as Brett Ferguson got a final touch as a lucky bounce got away from Kielly and suddenly the game was on a knife edge.
The game was taken into overtime when Lachowicz turned provider, finding Vinnell in the centre to take the puck beyond McAdam and confirm a good home win for the Clan.
