Two goals from Manchester Storm’s Darian Dzuirzynski turned the game as Braehead Clan suffered another Elite League defeat.

Braehead enjoyed much of the pressure and the chances in the first period as they looked to grab the game by the scruff of the neck.

Mike Clemente, Manchester’s goalie, was kept busy as he denied chances from Scott Aarssen, Scott Pitt, Daniel Åhsberg and Matt Beca.

Patrik Valcak went close for Storm, but Clan got the opener as Corey Cowick laid off for Matt Keith on the left, with the captain taking the puck inside and beating Clemente.

Both sides kept the pace up in the second period, but right after Manchester killed the penalty early in the middle session, they fired in the equaliser.

Darian Dzuirzynski emerged from the penalty box as Storm broke forward and he took the puck to slot it past Zajkowski for the leveller.

Both teams remained lock at a goal apiece, but Dzuirzynski turned up at the right place at the right time to put the Storm in front in the third period.

Mario Trabucco’s shot from just inside the blue line took a deflection off the in-form Storm forward’s stick to leave Zajkowski beaten again.

Clan upped the ante in the final stages, with a chance from Daniel Ahsberg going closest, forcing Clemente to block it well, preserving the lead and the win in the end.
