SIGNING: Buesa return confirmed for Clan

June 29, 2022

Glasgow Clan sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West are delighted to announce the re-signing of Scottish forward Jordan Buesa for the 2022-23 campaign.

The 22-year-old returns for a second season in his second spell with the club and played a role as part of the team that finished sixth in the Premier Sports Elite League last season.

He admits there are areas he wants to improve on but believes he’s in the right place to make those improvements.

“I want to be an all-round player who takes responsibility and performs my role well is where I’d like to improve,” he said.  “I also found I’ve learned from the mistakes as well, which I feel I have got better.

“I enjoyed working with Malcolm last year and learning his systems, I found, fitted into the way I play so it was enjoyable from that point of view.

“Coming back was an easy decision and I was pleased to be asked to sign again for the new season.  I love being at the Clan and I want to win things so it’s the right place to be for me.

“After the way last season ended, there is a sense of unfinished business so I can’t wait to get back and get started again.”

Buesa is back to add to his 120 appearances for the Clan so far and his total of 224 in all Elite League competitions.

He came back to Glasgow last year after two years with Fife Flyers and showed himself to be a physical operator with bags of energy, which is something head coach Malcolm Cameron appreciated.

Clan’s boss is glad to have him back and reckons we may see more of him in the season to come.

“We’re excited to have Jordan Buesa back in the line-up for sure.  He’s a young, energetic player who has a lot of future potential in him.

“He was unfortunate last year in so far as not getting as much ice time as he deserved or I would have liked.

“But this season, I anticipate being able to play more depth and be able to give young players like Jordan more of an opportunity.”

Buesa will wear the #12 jersey for the Clan in 2022/23 and joins John Dunbar, Craig Peacock, Jordan Cownie, Stephen Dixon, Liam Stenton, Gergely Tóth, Zach Driscoll, Gary Haden, Colton Waltz, Steven McParland, Shawn Boutin, Mathieu Roy and Mitch Jones on the roster for next season.
