PAQ: Facilities Report

May 25, 2024

At the Glasgow Clan, we are committed to improving the fan experience of the Purple Army at Braehead Arena. For us to do this effectively, we need to know what we’re doing right and what fans would like to see improved and/or changed.

That’s why at the beginning of the off-season we put together a series of short questionnaires to ask for your feedback on how we could make your Glasgow Clan experience better.

The 5 Purple Army Questionnaire sections were:

1: Game Day

2: Merchandise & Online Shop

3: Facilities

4: Online Communication

5: Ticketing

Over the past 6 weeks, the Purple Army have responded in droves through each section of the Purple Army Questionnaires, including Facilities

–

Below, we’ve put together the key points taken from the feedback provided by the Purple Army in our Facilities questionnaire. Under each point, we’ve provided a comment from the management team on an improvement/change to be implemented (if there is one).

73% of 632 responses felt the cleanliness of the restrooms was adequate (3-4 out of 5)

96 respondents felt the women’s restrooms were a 1-2 out of 5 on the cleanliness scale compared to 51 for the men’s restrooms.  The Club have already employed additional personnel to improve the cleanliness within the area. Based on this feedback, priority will be placed on the women’s restrooms during the post-game clean.
120 of 171 felt the variety of food and drink was not good value for money.  The Club will explore ways to offer a more diverse range of food and beverage within the arena. Unfortunately, prices are dictated by inflation and supplier costs. However, the club is committed to keeping food and beverage as affordable as possible for fans.
The biggest concern with fans is the state of the seats in the arena with repeated calls for them to be re-upholstered.   The Club has already implemented a programme for identifying and repairing damaged seats.  The replacement of all the seating in the arena is a long term project that will not be completed in time for the 2024/25 season.
Customers have also asked for water fountains in the foyer.  The Club has agreed to investigate the possibility of adding drinking fountains to the arena.
38% of people felt the variety of food and drink in the foyer was satisfactory.
61% of respondents felt the overall cleanliness of the arena was more than satisfactory.
Of the 171 people to have used the Clansman Lounge, 95% felt it was a 3 or above for overall cleanliness.

The Glasgow Clan would like to extend a sincere thank you to the fans who took the time to complete each feedback form. This will help shape future improvements in and around the Glasgow Clan and Braehead Arena.
