OSC: Recap of Annual General Meeting 2023

July 25, 2023

Last Wednesday (19th July) the Official Supporters Club (OSC) held our AGM in the Braehead Arena foyer.  It was great to see some familiar faces as well as some new members.

During the meeting we were able to confirm we have agreed a sponsorship contract with the club and we are delighted to be back on board for the 2023/24 season.

This means we can confirm OSC membership benefits will include:

– 10% game night merchandise discount

– Discounted home tickets

– Discounted away travel

– Discounted OSC events

Chances to win:

– Game night presentations

– Game night hospitality packages

– Game night mascot packages

– Special edition Clan jerseys

– Own and loan packages

Managing Director Gareth Chalmers commented: “We are looking forward to working with the OSC, the committee and members during the upcoming 2023/24 season.

“The OSC are an absolute credit to the club, the work and outstanding support they have provided the club over the years has been highly appreciated and respected.

“If you’re not already a member, I would encourage every single Clan fan to become a member. There are a number of fantastic benefits available to fans including discounts on merchandise, home tickets, away travel and the OSC events.

“Furthermore all members will have chances to win the opportunity to do the player of the game presentations, enjoy hospitality packages, mascot packages, Purple Army packages and win special limited edition jerseys.”

We also confirmed OSC sponsor for 2023 is Goldstone Wealth Management.

Goldstone Wealth Management owner Callum Yorke said “We are delighted to be continuing our sponsorship of the Clan OSC into season 2023/24.

“The OSC committee of volunteers work really hard to support the organisation as well as organising events, tickets and travel allowing members to support the team home and away.

“This looks like a massive time to be a Clan fan and we are very pleased to sponsor the OSC again during such a very positive and exciting time.”

The committee for the 2023/24 season were elected as follows:

Roddie Brown – chairman

Kelly Oliver – treasurer

Kerry Russell – secretary

Caitlyn Hainey – memberships

Catherine Brown – travel team

Mairi McFarlane – travel team

Craig Hutton – travel team

Shar Doherty – home tickets

Christine Loney – events

Carol Ann Jardine – events

Rachel Jardine – events

Around 50 clan fans were in attendance and we were able to complete our first item of business by setting the 2023/24 membership prices.  The committee and members agreed to keep the fee at £10 per adult and £5 for a junior member, under 5s remain free (with a paying adult).

Chairman Roddie Brown commented “We are looking forward to working with our club,  our new Coach Morgan and the players on which is looking like an exciting season ahead for us all Purple Army ?”

Following this the committee were able to take some questions at the end of the AGM business.

One of the questions asked about is how the OSC will encourage good relationships between the club, the OSC and supporters going forward.  This was great food for thought and something we as a committee have been thinking about. We are currently looking at a regular digital newsletter, a mid season general meeting and looking at better ways to engage with fans on social media.

Another question posed was around a fan forum, we think this is a great idea and something we would love to be involved in with the Club, we will take this forward as a suggestion.
