OSC: Frights and fun at Halloween event

Aspray Glasgow West sponsored Glasgow Clan players and fans all got together to mark Halloween in the latest event organised and ran by the club’s OSC.

It was a great night of fun as the Purple Army and Jason Morgan’s side put on their fancy costumes and enjoyed a night of frights and frolic at Braehead Arena.

It was probably the only place where Ted Lasso enjoyed a night out with Jack, Victor and Isa from TV’s Still Game at one table, along with The Karate Kid and Robin Hood at another.

And the Purple Army did their bit too, wearing some interesting costumes, and having the best time as they played some great Halloween games, including making mummies out of toilet paper.

OSC chairman Roddie Brown was pleased to see it all come together as he hailed another great occasion.

“It’s always interesting to see what costumes everyone will bring to this kind of event, and as always, they didn’t disappoint with some great outfits,” he said.

“The Halloween party is always a great night, and the fact it was sold out shows you all you need to know about how popular it is on the OSC social calendar.

“I want to extend my thanks to everyone who bought a ticket, attended and helped to make it the successful night it was.

“I also want to say thank you to the Clan players, who always buy into what we’re doing, and their sense of fun always comes through.

“Of course, I have to say thanks and pay tribute to the work of the events team, who do such a great job for these occasions.

“We’re lucky to have Carol Ann, Rachel, Christine, Dawn and the whole committee that helped to make it a successful night for everyone, as well as DJ Smee Smith with his tunes, along with Ross, Courtney and David from the Clan.
