OSC: Congratulations on 10 years of the Supporters Club
Hello Clan fans,
It was fantastic to join everyone at Crowne Plaza on Sunday evening to celebrate a decade of unwavering dedication and support for the Glasgow Clan. The event was a testament to the extraordinary bond between the club and each of you, our incredible OSC committee, the OSC members and Purple Army as a whole.
Ten years ago, the Clan OSC began its journey, following in the footsteps of the previous Supporters Association incarnation. At that time there was a catalyst to form the best supporters club in the country, there is no doubt that has been achieved. The evidence of this has been that there are a number of other hockey clubs in the UK that have reached out to us over the years and replicated what was created here with our OSC.
Your hard work, your tireless dedication, and your passion for this club have played a huge role in everything you’ve achieved. Whether it’s organising events, organising travel, selling tickets in Section N, providing volunteers to help with club operations or simply showing up and supporting the team through thick and thin, you’ve been the heart and soul of this journey.

Over the past 10 years, the OSC have supported the club financially in the region of £100,000. Whether that has been OSC branding on jersey’s, shorts and on the ice at Braehead Arena, it doesn’t stop there. The OSC, via the support of it’s members have helped the club through more challenging times, including buying all of John Muse’s equipment in 2022/23, to helping pay for hotels on road trips and more recently investing in Compression Boots focused on player recovery. The focus has always been doing everything you can to help the players on the ice.
The energy you bring goes far beyond just the Arena. You’ve been there in every victory, in every challenge, and in every step forward the Clan has taken. You’ve made sure that our players feel supported, our team feels at home, and are all truly welcome in the West of Scotland.
So, to the Glasgow Clan Supporters Club, thank you. Your commitment and your passion are the foundation of everything we do, and without you, this club simply wouldn’t be what it is today. You are an integral part of our story, and we have been incredibly lucky to have each and every one of you by our side.
On a personal level, I’d like to thank Roddie, who is also celebrating 10 years as OSC Chairman. Roddie is extremely passionate about the club and about the OSC and has been a proud leader throughout. Roddie has been there during the good times and the challenging times and always tells it how it is. Thank you Roddie.

We also had the opportunity to welcome back Matt Keith, his wife Chelsea and daughter Lola. It was fantastic to have you all back in Glasgow. I have very fond memories of Matt’s time in Glasgow, from almost winning the league title in 2014/15 to our Champions Hockey League campaign in 2015/16. I’ve said on record before that I believe Matt was one of our most important signings in the club’s history, and his leadership and influence still resonates through the club even today.
Here’s to the next 10 years of the OSC, to continued growth, and to many more nights like Sunday. On the ice it’s well past the time for the club to start delivering on the unwavering support the OSC and Purple Army give us season after season.
Congratulations once again, and thank you for everything you’ve done. You truly are the best supporters club in the league.
