NEWS: Record breaker Pitt eyeing up the Storm
NEXT HOME GAME: The Braehead Clan are in action THIS FRIDAY when our Gardiner Conference rivals the Manchester Storm come to Braehead Arena (7:30pm face-off). Tickets are available NOW via TICKETMASTER, by calling 0844 499 1700 or direct at the Braehead Arena box office.
Glasgow’s Braehead Clan record breaker Scott Pitt says the dressing room is fully focussed on getting points after disappointing results last weekend.
Clan lost Gardiner Conference games to the Edinburgh Capitals and Manchester Storm. The Storm now head to Glasgow to start their three-game weekend with Pitt wanting the points back.
“The mood in the locker room is definitely about getting those points back we lost and there was great disappointment about what happened last weekend,” he said.
“There were points we expected and wanted and this weekend, we have a lot to prove. We need a reaction for sure and we’ll definitely have it.
“For Storm, they’ll want to get off to a good start with the weekend they have and the momentum carries you into the next game, but we’ll be out to keep the points for ourselves.
Pitt reflected on his feat of becoming the club’s all-time points scorer, reaching the 174 mark that took him beyond Jordan Krestanovich in last Sunday’s game in Manchester.
He added: “It feels great to be Braehead’s all-time top point scorer. To be honest, I didn’t know I was close to it until I got a few tweets regarding it.
“It’s a great accomplishment, which I’m definitely proud of and the goal had some luck behind it, the way it panned out.
“The goal was a five-on-three and we were moving it around before (Scott) Aarssen made a good pass to me. I took a one-timer from a bad angle and it went in off the goalie’s glove.
“I certainly got the luck there and I’m proud that I’ve reached it.”
