NEWS: Morgan looking forward to final flourish

Aspray Glasgow West sponsored Glasgow Clan head coach Jason Morgan is urging his players to go for it this weekend.

The regular season comes to an exciting conclusion with Clan in the thick of it, as one of five teams looking for the last three remaining berths for the post season.

And Morgan knows exactly just what’s at stake and what needs to be done if his team are to continue their season beyond the next two games, with Clan finishing the campaign at home to Cardiff Devils on Sunday (face off 5:00pm).

“It goes without saying there are two massive challenges awaiting us this weekend,” he said. “Everyone in the room fully realises what’s at stake and what needs to happen for us.

“Starting in Guildford, we have to go there with the right mentality.  We haven’t had success in that rink this season and need to find a way to collect points down the final stretch in order to have a chance at staying in the play-off picture.

“I’ve said it often, but we need a full 60-minute complete effort from everyone and if we can achieve that as well as a good result, it comes down to Cardiff on Sunday.

“It’s going to be another big crowd and another big night, as well as a challenge we’re all looking forward to.”
