NEWS: Lachowicz keen to build on Flames success
Aspray Glasgow West sponsored Glasgow Clan forward Robert Lachowicz is keen to see further confidence gained when the team take on Sheffield Steelers this Sunday.
The GB international has been in fantastic form, scoring two goals and assisting on the winner in Clan’s overtime win over his old team, Guildford Flames on Friday.
Now the Clan #7 has his sights set on the Steelers where he’s hoping for the same outcome to finish the weekend on a high.
“That was a really big result for us on Friday, to get that game over the line, particularly in overtime,” he said.
“I think we can lack a little self-belief and self-confidence so to see we can win those games, especially those overtime matches gives us a boost and should help us moving forward.
“Personally, it’s nice to score goals and have some input, especially when it comes against a former team.
“I’ve had a couple of good games against Guildford now, but it’s a team effort and it was all about getting the victory.
“Now it’s a big game in Sheffield on Sunday and you’re talking about a team who are top of the league and in good form.
“However, teams are dropping points everywhere right now so for us to go there and get something would be huge to get us back in the mix.
“There’s a bit of confidence in the team after Friday and we’ll take that into Sunday, where hopefully we have the same outcome there.“
