The Glasgow Clan can confirm that forward Scott Jacklin has left the club with immediate effect, to head home for family reasons.

The 29-year-old Canadian joined the Clan in late November from French club Pionnniers de Chamonix, on a one month try-out as injury cover.

Clan head coach Zack Fitzgerald commented: “I just want to thank Scott for his time here. He was a great addition to the team and brought another dynamic to our game.“When he joined we were really struggling with injuries and sickness in the camp, he jumped straight in, worked hard for us and played well in every position he was asked to.

“It’s disappointing to see him leave, but I completely respect his decision and understand the reason. We wish him nothing but the best in the future with his family.”

The Clan are continuing to assess all available players ahead of the IIHF Transfer Deadline, and if the right options are available, we are looking to further strengthen the roster for the second half of the season.
