Glasgow’s Braehead Clan were also delighted to present a cheque to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity for £5,535.50 at Wednesday’s home game v the Manchester Storm.
GCHC, along with Erskine, were selected as one of the club’s charity partners during the 2016/17 season.
Clan players visited the Glasgow Children’s Hospital at Christmas time to distribute teddy bears that had been donated by Clan supporters, as part of our annual ‘Air the Bear’ event.
The partnership also saw a limited edition Highland Cow jersey commissioned, which received media attention not only in the UK but across in North America.
Clan Hockey & Operations Director Gareth Chalmers commented: “We’ve worked with Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity for a number of season’s now.
“It’s a charity very close to us and one the management, staff and players thoroughly enjoy supporting.We’d like to this opportunity to thank GCHC for all their support and assistance during the 2016/17 season.
“Again I would like to say a huge well done to the Clan supporters and thank them for their support of our jerseys auctions, which allows us to make a superb financial donation such as this.”
