NEWS: Courtney heads up Merchandising and Retail for Clan
The Glasgow Clan, sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West, are delighted to announce the appointment of Courtney Clark as the club’s new Merchandise and Retail Co-ordinator.
Courtney comes to Braehead Arena with a background in retail, social media and marketing, and will apply her expertise to her new role.
She spoke of her excitement of her new role and is keen to bring something fresh and exciting for the Purple Army.
“I am so excited to be joining the Clan and working with all the team,” Courtney said. “This is a really exciting opportunity and I am looking forward to getting stuck into the role.
“I especially can’t wait to bring new ideas to the merchandising and retail side of the Clan and I’ve already got a few thoughts in mind going forward.
Courtney studied International Fashion Branding at university and worked in retail for 6 years before going on to work with a few small online fashion brands as an e-commerce and marketing assistant.
She then worked in a construction related company as the social media and marketing manager and will now oversee the popular merchandising and retail for Clan where her role begins straight away.
Glasgow Clan Managing Director Gareth Chalmers welcomed Courtney to the club and highlighted the important of her role going forward.
“Courtney’s experience and enthusiasm stood out when we interviewed her for the role and I was pleased we were able to bring her on board,” he said.
“The ideas she brought and the way we spoke about what she wanted to do convinced she was the right candidate for the post.
“She understands the crucial nature of how merchandising works for the Clan and I can’t wait to see what she can do.”
