NEWS: Clan to show their Pride for TIE, for a 3rd season

The Glasgow Clan, in association with the Elite Ice Hockey League, are supporting the LGBTQ+ community on Friday 24th January.

The Clan players will wear specially designed jerseys to show our support for our charity partner, Time for Inclusive Education (TIE).

Following the Elite Ice Hockey League game against local rivals the Fife Flyers on Friday, January 24, at Braehead Arena, the limited edition jerseys will be auctioned off to raise money for TIE for a 3rd consecutive season.

TIE is an LGBTQ+ charity that tackles homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying and prejudice in schools through education. The charity works with teachers and national decision makers, produces resources, curriculum materials and delivers services in schools to raise awareness, heighten knowledge, and foster good relations.

Co-Founders of TIE – Jordan Daly and Liam Stevenson, said: “Thank you once again to Glasgow Clan and the Purple Army for selecting us as the charity partner for this year’s Pride Game.

“The money raised here will be reinvested into sport via workshops delivered in schools and football clubs throughout Scotland in partnership with former professional footballer Zander Murray, the first and only out gay male Scottish senior level footballer. We know these workshops are having a really positive impact on young people who participate in them and we look forward to continuing this work thanks to this fundraising.”
