NEWS: Clan raise £11,099 for GCIFC
The Glasgow Clan’s first charity game of 2024/25 vs the Nottingham Panthers on Saturday, proved a monumental success, raising an impressive £11,099 for the Glasgow Clan Ice Futures Charity (GCIFC).
The Purple Army played a pivotal role in achieving this incredible total, showing their support for the new charity through donations made via a QR code displayed in the arena and cash contributions to donation buckets stationed throughout the venue.
Adding to the excitement, a full team Shirt Off the Back draw gave fans the chance to take home their favourite players’ special edition warm-up jerseys straight from the ice. The fundraising efforts culminated in a post-game auction, where Clan supporters bid for exclusive, limited-edition game-worn jerseys, created specially for the charity game.
The GCIFC supports grassroots development, community engagement, and initiatives that grow the sport of ice hockey locally. This tremendous fundraising effort underscores the heart and commitment of Clan fans, players, and staff toward making a lasting impact on the future of the sport.
